I can wholeheartedly recommend Nikki Fletcher as a multisport coach who has inspired and improved my performances in Triathlon immensely over the past two years.
I first met Nikki three years ago when she was the head coach in the local triathlon club, where I joined as a 50 year old looking for a challenge. Over the past three years, two of them with Nikki as a personal coach I have gone from a complete novice to where I consider myself an experienced triathlete having completed three sprint distance and six Olympic distance triathlons. I also completed a half iron man distance event last year as my personalised goal for 2015.
Nikki is an effective coach who will analyse your performance and provide encouragement and guidance in correcting or improving your skills. Nikki has always been on hand to discuss ideas, worries and successes with training and events. Her expert knowledge and wealth of experience has ensured that my training sessions have been tailored to my abilities whilst preparing me for specific races throughout the year. These sessions have been constructed to improve my technical skills and physical endurance in each of the individual disciplines and I have found them challenging but extremely satisfying and the improvements made have given me the confidence in my own ability to be at the race start and to cross the finish line.Mark Davies, Triathlete Sprint, Olympic and Half Iron Man
I have been working with Nikki for nearly two years. When I started out at triathlon I could barely swim, I struggled to manage 50m with out panicking and having to stop. My first 400m two years ago was over 10 minutes. I can now swim under 6minutes thanks to Nikki’s amazing coaching and analysis of my stroke. This all leads into set sessions focusing on technique and intervals. Time trials are also used as an indicator of how training is doing and really helps to motivate me.
Since working with Nikki I have worked up my age group standings both locally and nationally with a win at the British standard duathlon champs this year and second place at dambuster triathlon. This has also been followed up with a string of 4th places, at both British and English standard triathlon championships. More locally I won my age group at the midlands series sprint triathlons. This season I have placed top 4 or better in my age group at all races.
When I set out, my goals were really just to become faster and enjoy the sport while trying to be competitive. Since qualifying for both the worlds AG duathlon and triathlon that hasn't really changed expect to get more involved and focused with my sessions. Nikki's sessions allow flexibility, something that is essential in day to day life, while being realistically hard and challenging. This is ensured by great communication and frequent reviews. This certainly isn't a one way thing either with any questions or reasoning always followed up with examples or videos.Seamus Sheard, Age 18 - GB Team Athlete
